Summertime weddings in Santa Fe are sun-kissed and sing of romance. Adrian and Peter’s wedding added prominent modern touches and breathed fresh life into the ancient walls of the Loretto Chapel. Between Adrian’s lively jumpsuit hybrid, Peter’s prominent blue jacket, and their uniquely belted cake, this novel wedding compares to none other.
The wildflower centerpieces kissed their reception with class and delicacy, and sweet four legged friend trotted into our hearts wearing a white tutu!
We’ll always remember Adrian and Peter for their affectionate interactions and for the laughter they shared in the old Santa Fe Plaza.

Amber and Joe’s Santa Fe, New Mexico Wedding

Amber and Joe’s Santa Fe wedding was so whimsical. Each detail was unique and representative of this sweet couple. The southwest day was still and hot; dressed-up and ready to watch Amber and Joe marry. Beauty radiated throughout—rippling through Amber’s veil, glistening in her flawless jewelry, and contrasting against stucco and storm-cloud-hued doors. Unconditionally supporting Amber were four lovely ladies in mesa pink and wild sage green. The messy elegance of nude, blushing garden roses touched every element of this southwestern wedding, neatly tying up any loose ends. Small yet strong details breathed life into this magical day, and though Amber’s necklace winked with the grace of Cinderella’s stagecoach, she remained a princess at the stroke of midnight. We fell in love with this Santa Fe elopement – its intimacy, the heavy rain clouds, and the bated breath it held for Megan and Christopher. Overcast skies in Santa Fe smell like anticipation; on this day, the anticipation cascaded down through Megan’s long veil and illuminated Christopher’s confident smile. Marisa’s Millefiori florals handsomely complemented the coral-clad bridesmaids and smiling delight twinkled in the eyes of all who attended this beautiful wedding. It brings us so much joy to be able to look back on the celebrations that we have had the pleasure of being part of and bask in the gloriousness of families coming together to celebrate love. It is not everyday that we get to photograph two different types of wedding ceremonies in one day so this next couple is very near and dear to our hearts. Lani & Kellen’s wedding day last May was one we will never forget! Our bride Lani is a Diné/Filipina from Na’Neelzhiin, NM so its no surprise that their day was steeped in rich tradition and meaningful details. From her unforgettable-traditional blush dress & turquoise squash blossom necklace to her modern white gown and floral crown, Lani was simply stunning on her big day. Both ceremonies and through the entire reception the dapper groom, Kellen, looked at his bride adoringly and our hearts couldn’t have been more full for them. A beautiful wedding vase ceremony and an adorable puppy dog making a cameo down the aisle along with how truly magical the atmosphere felt are just some of the details we will never forget about their wedding day. We know that Kellen & Lani are on the adventure of a lifetime- and we are so honored that they chose us as their photographers to document the beginning of it all. Lauren and Charles, Loretto Chapel

Welcome back to Blue Rose beauties! #WeddingWednesday is always a call for celebration here in our little corner of the internet, but you know our love for New Mexico weddings isn’t confined by a single day! How could it be, when every famed sunrise in our gorgeous state gives us new inspiration by being the first day of a couple’s new life together?!

The sun peeking up on the morning of Charles and Lauren’s new adventure was definitely no exception. We’re still eagerly awaiting the sunshine and blooms of a southwestern spring here, of course, but in the meantime, we’re cozying up to the fond memories of their intimate day. Held by the old-world architecture of the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, Lauren and Charles pledged their boundless love for each other in just each other’s company.

Now, we would die for a grand, 300-people, bustling celebration just as much as the next wedding lovers, but this elopement? Absolutely stole our hearts. Delicate gold detailing throughout the holy sanctuary complimented the lace appliqué of Lauren’s gown, shining alongside her newlywed glow. With Charles in a perfectly tailored suit of grey, the couple created a shimmering little universe to say their I Do’s in — one we’ll be dreaming of forever. And how could we not?! Being there to capture every moment from the sun’s first bean through the stained glass windows, to the last second when Lauren and Charles sped off into the distance in a sleek vintage town car was the honor of a lifetime.
